International Booker Prize 2022

Geethanjali Shree first Indian women author to win International Booker Prize 2022 and her translator Daisy Rockwell wins translator award for novel "Tomb of Sand".

The first Book in Indian language to win the prestigious award. Hindi Book "Ret Samaadhi" is translated to English as "Tomb of Sand". The story of an 80 years old women slips into depression at the death of his husband.
