2) Vaiko files Petition

• MDMK general secretary files petition in Madras High Court Bench against Center from establishing India-Based Neutrino Obsevatory in Bodi West Hills at Pottipuram in Theni District.

3) Coal block reallocation

• Government plans reallocation of Coal blocks by E-Auction of 46 coal mines in two sections between February 14 to March 5.
• Coal Secretary Anil Swarup also said privatization will not be done.

4) India at Davos for the Annual World Economic Forum

• Finance minister Arun Jaitley, Power Minister Piyush Goyal, Maharastra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Andra CM Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramaniyam and Industrial Secretary Amitath Kand were the Indian Delegates to WEF at Davos

5) Center to spend Rs 500 cr for revive heritage cities

• the center launches Heritage Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY) to preserve and rejuvenate the  cultural heritage of the Cities.
• 12 cities namely Ajmer, Amritsar, Badami, Dwaraka, Gaya, Warangal, Puri, Kanchipuram, Mathura, Varanasi and Velankanni.
